Responsibilities and Qualifications
OverviewPerforms two dimensional sonographic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Responsible for performing imaging procedures and obtaining high quality images. Must be able to explain examination and procedure to the patient. Assists radiologist in ultrasound guided biopsies and other special ultrasound procedures. Participates in QRM activities.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or Ultrasound Technology
Experience: Minimum of one year of specialized Ultrasound training.Certifications: Current BLS certification. ARDMS certification -- must be ARDMS registered within 6 months of hire. It is also the responsibility of the technologist to maintain all necessary education set by ARDMS and this facility. Other: Basic computer knowledge. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
