Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily production of all assigned banking center locations, ensuring their achievement of all corporate goals, and customer service standards. Works with assigned banking center managers to ensure a motivated staff. Assists assigned banking centers with all marketing and new business development. Follows all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, and ensures compliance within area of responsibility. Ensures all sales, production goals, and customer service standards are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Consistently exceeds established goals/standards and implements strategic plans as identified on an annual basis (including but not limited to loan production, deposit growth, sales referral standards, shop scores and efficiency ratios). Responsible for new business development in the assigned banking centers by: working with all banking center employees regarding cross-selling opportunities, working with all customers regarding the availability of other Great Southern products, calling on new business to develop new customer relationships, and participating in community and civic organizations in order to build professional/business relationships. May be required to serve as Banking Center Manager in assigned location. This duty is performed daily, about 35% of the time.
2. Works closely with subordinate staff evaluating their sales performance, developing abilities ensuring they meet established standards. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
3. Consults with customers or other bank personnel served by or impacted by the assigned banking centers ensuring that they are assisted in a timely, efficient, and professional manner with the highest degree of customer service. Responsible for the timely completion of all paperwork and customer follow-up. Addresses customer issues and/or complaints in a timely and professional manner. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Works with Regional Sales Manager and Vice President of Retail Banking setting goals, developing strategies, and setting new policies and procedures. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
5. Maintains knowledge of and ensures the resolution of all daily operating problems within assigned banking center locations, reviewing and approving exceptions according to established policies and procedures. Maintains a strong
working knowledge of and ensures full compliance and implementation of all applicable banking regulations. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
6. Responsible for all security issues within the assigned banking center. Ensures that all personnel working at the banking centers are trained and continually updated on all security procedures and that security codes/keys are issued and maintained in a controlled environment. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
7. All other special projects, reports, and duties as assigned. This duty is performed monthly, about 5% of the time.
Minimum Education & Other Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must hold a current Life License or have the ability to pass the Life License examination within 6 months of placement in this position. Must be registered under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) or become registered upon hire.
