49 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Events and Scheduling Specialist provides administrative support to the Parks and Recreation Director and works collaboratively with all other staff to perform department operations and assure that they meet the principles and objectives of the City of Rogers.
Part of their responsibilities is to assist the recreational programs.
This could include monitoring schedules, manage office functions, and be able to program an event if asked to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Takes reservations for rent/use of Parks and Recreation facilities including, but not limited to, pavilions, athletic fields, buildings, aquatics facility, and equipment.

Serves in a leadership role in the coordination of community special events and primary point of contact for CivicRec calendar functions.

Assists Operations Manager, Parks and Recreation Director, Assistant Director(s), and Superintendents, with office-related tasks including, but not limited to, copying, filing, answering telephone, preparing deposits, running errands, and directing special projects as assigned.

Creates and modifies documents using Microsoft Office.

Promotes positive public image through excellent customer service.
6.
Performs related duties as assigned by Mayor or Department Director.
7.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
