What you'll learn & achieve:
Duties will include daily prep of samples from a wide variety of submitted samples to include:
wet chemistry, XRF, TIP, BPA/FDA, Leachable, pre-production and roduction for both U.
S.
and Canadian samples.
Associate will be proficient in processing, amending, editing and changing component form submissions according to the needs of the client and engaging with technicians on client needs.
Associate will be trained on laboratory software and other software as needed to perform the necessary daily functions within the lab.
Associate will be trained on XRF, XOS-HD and FISCHERSCOPE instruments to be proficient with X-ray technology for daily use in a rotating schedule to include; validation, operation and data storage of samples as well as procurement of those samples.
Associate will receive specific training on instruments and other lab equipment as needed to include heavy equipment such as cryogenic grinder, bandsaw, chop saw, and various hand tools for everyday use.
Associate will also be trained on internal procedures such as additional sample request, return of client samples, monthly disposal of spent samples and hazardous waste collection and disposal.
Builds and/or adapts basic setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
Performs tests using general laboratory equipment.
Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area.
Reads and follows the UL Solutions Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Performs other duties as directed.

Total Rewards:
The salary range for this position is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.
All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.
The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered.
Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.
We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
