Manages the plant materials control, shipping and receiving, including raw material, and finished goods.
Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction the primary goal by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
Maintain and improve warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory gate processes and shipping methods.
Manage an outside/offsite warehouse process, coordinating outgoing/incoming transportation and storage of raw materials as needed to meet production schedules.
Train and manage the warehouse to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
Plays a key role on the plant management team to facilitate continuous improvement in areas critical to plant performance such as cost reduction and containment, inventory planning, capacity planning, operational efficiencies, and customer service.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the following activities and tasks.
This includes but is not limited to:
Shipping, Receiving and Material Handling Services.
Oversees the shipping and receiving functions as well as material handling support.
Ensures accurate and timely deliveries of products to our customers.
Responsible for maintaining strong inventory control measures, progressive warehousing practices, safe operations, and good employee morale.
Provides responsive material handling services to the manufacturing groups.
Maintains strong rapport with company Customer Service personnel and timely communications on delivery issues with our customers.
Inventory Control.
Manages plant inventory control function.
Establishes inventory control disciplines, metrics, and controls to ensure accurate inventory levels and stocking requirements to provide excellent customer support.
Develops strong corrective action programs to solve repetitive problems as well as disciplined approaches to maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Continuous Improvement.
Provides significant support to plant initiatives to drive performance improvement using the principles and processes of ISO, Total Quality, Kan Bans and Lean Manufacturing.
Serves as an active member of the plant QSC committee.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE Should have at least ten years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment, preferably at ascending levels of varied supervisory responsibilities.
Should have a minimum of eight years' experience with inventory management, production planning and warehouse management.
An understanding of current supply chain theory and practice as demonstrated in recent job experiences is desirable.
EDUCATION Should have a bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field.
Should have excellent written and verbal communications skills along with solid analytical skills.
Must have excellent computer skills and abilities to develop meaningful reports, analysis, and communications.
SKILLS Adept knowledge of ERP systems and the use of MRP as a planning tool.
Fluent in the use of project management tools with the ability to analyze and trend data.
Familiarity and experience with 3rd party logistics.
Ability and skill operate sit-down and stand-up lifts in a warehouse environment.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team player and enjoy a hands-on approach to their work and business relationships.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
